In 2010 we are offering three different options for our mission trips to the Amazon:

 Option 1: Mission trips in one of the rivers: Amazon, Negro or Solimoes. Trips on the 

                  "J.J. Mesquita Medical Boat" or similar "Serguem Medical Boat".

Number of volunteers: 18 maximum.

Boat accommodation: 4 cabins with 2 bunk beds each plus 1 cabin with 1 bunk bed.

Airlines: DELTA, via Atlanta leaving Orlando Friday night or TAM leaving Miami Saturday morning.

Villages to be visited: It will be determined by the Mission Department of the Presbyterian Church of Manaus. The mission trip will be in one of the following rivers: Amazon, Negro and Solimoes. The Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes are the two major tributaries which join to make the Amazon River.

Option 1 Trip Dates: March 12-21; June 4-13; July 23 - August 1;

                                      August 28 - September 5.  

Option 2: Mission trips to the villages of "Rio Castanho" on the "Apostolo Paulo Medical Boat"

Number of volunteers: 22 maximum

Accommodation: All groups will stay at the "Rio Castanho Eco-Resort" for the full week of the trip. Resort accommodation: 6 apartments for 3 guests each plus 2 apartments for 2 guests each.

Airlines: DELTA via Atlanta, leaving Orlando on Saturday evening and returning to Orlando next Monday morning or TAM leaving Miami Saturday morning and returning to Miami the next Sunday.

Villages to be visited: The group will be transported each day by the "Apostolo Paulo Medical Boat" to one of the many communities of the "Panelao Lake". The medical boat will leave every morning after breakfast and it will return to the hotel around 6 pm for dinner. Saturday afternoon will be for relaxation and fishing and on Saturday evening there will be an Evangelistic Worship Service at the Church of Castanho.

Option 2 Trip Dates: March 5 - 15; Jun 25 - July 4; July 9 -18; August 13 - 22;                

                                     September 24 - October 3; October 22 - 31; November 12 - 21.

Option 3: Mission Trip to the Health Clinic in the town of Anori on the Solimoes River.

Number of volunteers: 22 maximum.

Accommodation: At the local hotel.

Airlines: DELTA via Atlanta, leaving Orlando Saturday evening and returning to Orlando next Monday morning  or TAM, leaving Miami Saturday morning and returning the following Saturday to Miami. Arrive in Miami Saturday evening approximately 7:15 pm and the group will be transferred by bus to Orlando. Arrive in Orlando at approximately 1:00 am on Monday morning.

Transportation to Anori: Transport will be provided bby a JET BOAT leaving Manaus at 7 am on Monday morning. We will arrive at Anori at approximatelly 12:30 pm

Work schedule: The work will start at 2 pm on Monday. General medical and dental patients will be seen at the Church Clinic. Patients scheduled for cleft palate surgery and other necessary plastic surgery will be seen at the local Anori hospital. On Saturday the group will return to Manaus by JET BOAT and will be transferred to the Eco-Resort TIWA for an overnight stay before returning to the USA. 

Option 3 Trip Date: March 26 - April 4 

Prices: 

Option 1 and 2: US$2,852.00

Option 3:            US$2,452.00

PRICES INCLUDE: Round trip airfare, airport taxes and fees, travel insurance, roundtrip bus transportation from Orlando to Miami for the Anori trip, all ground transportation in Manaus, all hotel accommodations in Manaus or in the towns of Castanho or Anori, 6 days accommodation on the boat (for trip option 1 only), three meals per day for the duration of the trip, English speaking translators and guides, one mission trip t-shirt, a diary for your daily notes and the memories from a trip of a life time.

BRAZILIAN VISA AND IMMUNIZATIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED

Payments:

A non-refundable deposit of US$300.00 per person is due with registration and the balance of the trip cost is due 45 days prior to departure.
