World Hope Missions Ministry is a missionary and compassionate relief effort delivering health care and spiritual assistance to villagers along the Amazon River Basin. It is run by a Board of Directors composed of 14 servants of the Lord and is under the leadership of its founder, President/CEO the Rev. Dr. Jonathas DoValle Moreira. World Hope Missions Ministry operates in partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Manaus, the Brazilian Bible Society, the “Missao Paz” (Peace Mission) and Christian churches all over the U.S. Volunteers that wish to participate in the effort will help in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many villagers as possible by delivering healthcare assistance and promoting a better quality of life to the families along the river. Two well equipped medical boats are in operation and leave the ports of Manaus or Belem each Sunday evening for one full week of service in that vast world of waters.
COME WITH US. FEEL THE EXCITEMENT AND SEE GOD AT WORK.
Our goal is to take volunteers willing to make a difference in the lives of impoverished people and create a positive impact in their lives. Through short-term missions, we also open opportunities for churches of all Christian denominations to form groups of 15-20 missionaries, regardless of age, for a full week of missions in the Amazon. The ideal group includes a healthcare team with volunteers working in the medical and dental clinics. They will be supporting the Brazilian healthcare team already working in the boats. Support members will perform house-to-house calls, help the poor, lead Vacation Bible School or just have fun with hundreds of children in need of love and a caring touch.
